Life drawing Thursdays 7-9
Led by Red with experienced life models in a relaxed and encouraging group.
Suitable for all from absolute beginners to experienced artists. Drop ins welcome.
£25 per session including all materials and refreshments
Printmaking drop in sessions
for intermediate and advanced students
Thursdays 1 -3pm
Drop in sessions for students wanting to pursue their own projects with support and access to great facilities. Basic materials provided but if you own cutting tools or have your own favourite inks or paper you would like to use, feel free to bring them along. Shared use of the press during the classes but please be aware this can result in queueing. Booking the press for individual use is advised if you are wanting to print more than a few test prints.
This is not a structured class, rather its purpose is to offer support, encouragement and technical advice in a sociable atmosphere.

Etching with Will Appleby
We are delighted to be able to offer this rare opportunity to learn the principles of etching in a one day workshop. Will Appleby is a highly skilled silversmith, metal worker and printmaker. You may have seen some of his wonderful silver and prints displayed at our opening event. It is rare to find etching taught outside of an art school setting but Will kindly agreed to deliver a workshop at Red Fox Studio (after a bit of begging!)
Numbers will necessarily be limited so please contact Will as soon as possible to book.

Poppet Workshop
Appropriately, artist Kylie Merrick, who describes her work as 'esoteric' and 'witchy', will be delivering this full day workshop on 31st October. We are truly excited to welcome her to our studio and we are keen to join in with this one! Fun though these look, Kylie is an artist making serious waves with her highly individual work.
Kylie was recently an MA student at Falmouth and we have heard rumours of bigger things afoot. So come and experience a completely different day under her expert guidance.
In addition to the workshop there will be an exhibition of Kylie's artwork

Solve a few Christmas present dilemas!
Printing onto Fabric Items
We will be printing onto practice fabrics and then blank recycled cotton tote bags, but once youi have learned the principles you will be able to print successfully onto all sorts of items at home. It requires a minimum of equipment and can easily be done on a kitchen table. During the class we will print both by hand and using the press, which gives exceptional results. The press is avalable to hire by the hour in the studio when there are no classes in progress, so you can always use it again at a time to suit you if you get really hooked!

Bookbinding 5th December 26
Tom has already delivered one fabulous day of teaching traditional book binding techniques here at Red Fox Studio. Everyone was blown away by how much they managed to achieve under his expert tuition. The class atmosphere was both industrious and fun and we are delighted to welcome him back for the benefit of another lucky group of people.
PS There will be at least one unique Christmas present created and ticked off your list by the end of the day!
